Being Generous (Kind of)

27 Feb

Several years ago, a teacher I used to work with kept a jar of candy on her desk, and she found herself getting rather frustrated because the contents were disappearing way too quickly. She’d fill up the jar, and before long it would be empty. Day after day this kept happening. The only clue she had to go on was that most of the candy seemed to disappear in the afternoon. One day after lunch she returned to her room a few minutes before the students were supposed to come back in from recess, and as she walked in, there stood the culprit at her desk digging through the candy jar. Without any hesitation the kid looked up and said, “You want some?”
